CIA

MONOGRAM LOGO

CIA is the name of a magazine publication that my group innovated for a university project. The publication and its contents are derived from the topic of ‘trust’. The aim of the agency is to reveal all kinds of truths to society to create an open and honest conversation about the fears embedded in institutions, governments, and the media. Some of my design roles included a monogram logo and cover jacket for our 8 spread magazine.

The name CIA serves as a double entendre: the first meaning being the title of the publication Critical Investigation Agency. Followed by the initials of each designers name, Cassandra, Isabella & Alessia for a personable and cheeky personality.

Meaning behind CIA

The monogram is a play on the shape of a chain link alluding to the trusting relationship between the audience and the publication. It can also be integrated into an illustration of a chain to enhance its symbolism and identity.
